I have a confession to make. I have a paper fetish. I love journals, notecards, notepads, planners and stationery. I have at least 20 journals and notebooks scattered about my house filled with lists, dreams, to do’s etc. I was recently asked to review the website Minted which offers a great collection of personalized stationery, notebooks and invitations. What I didn’t realize is Minted also has an art marketplace featuring many independent artists. I love how each artist shares a description about their work and a little bio about themselves. There is even an artist from the Kansas City area.

I’m preparing to update the office area in my home. It’s one of the first rooms you see when you walk through my front door. I want the room to be functional, but also stylish. I plan on creating a gallery wall filled with a mix of art and photographs that inspire me. I’ve shared some ideas for gallery walls here.
1. Spiral Design 2. The Peace Van on the Road 3. Autumn Explosion 4. The Floating City 5.Some Things Take Time
I don’t believe you have to spend a fortune on art. Minted offers a great collection of affordable and limited edition prints from independent artists. Most of the 5 x 7 prints run $20 and $29 framed and they offer a variety of sizes to choose from. I found so many prints I love, that it’s going to be hard to narrow it down. I have several different gallery walls I want to create and the hardest part for me is figuring out which pictures and prints to display. Which print is your favorite?
I love one stop shopping sites like Minted where you can find a variety of products such as thank you notes for kids, Christmas cards, photo gifts, custom notebooks, invitations and planners. I need to get to work on my gallery walls because before I know it, it will be time to start shopping for Christmas cards!

My personal taste wants me to choose LA Sky and Train Ride. But I got to the end and Some Things Take Time sure strikes a chord with me. I’d like to have that one….in every room of my house!!! The Laundry Room, Over the stove top or kitchen sink, over my desk, next to my treadmill, over my bed……you get the picture? (no pun intended) While I’m at it, I’ll take one for my car! It’s a cute little graphic on a nice simple background which I like. Not too cutesy though. I like that.
These are all good starters to a great redo!

Thanks Angela. I have a picture of Lauren on that ferris wheel so the LA Sky brings back happy memories. I’m with you on the Some Things Take Time. I think I need to have it tattooed on my wrist 🙂 I will definitely be purchasing that print. It would look good in your house too 🙂
