12 Holiday Cocktails for Thanksgiving and Christmas

November 13, 2015 by Dawn Pasco

12 Holiday Cocktails

Does the thought of Thanksgiving being only 13 days away make you want to grab a cocktail? I’ve got you covered. These 12 enticing holiday cocktails are sure to help you get your merry on.  The thought of baking, shopping, wrapping gifts and gathering with extended family in close quarters can send even the saints among us over the edge. I’ve noticed over the past four years cocktails seem to be a consistent topic for me to share whenever the holidays are approaching.  You can find more holiday beverage inspiration here and here.

Every year I proclaim I’m going to keep things simple, but it’s easy to get wrapped up in all of the holiday hoopla. As a kid I depended on the JC Penney catalog or television commercials to prepare my Christmas list.  Today’s society not only has catalogs, but we are bombarded with email and target marketing filled with the latest deals and hot items. As a matter of fact, you can find some on my blog.  I smiled  when a friend recently told me Facebook told her to buy these yoga toes gems.

If you’re looking to step out of your box and create a festive cocktail below are a few Thanksgiving and Christmas holiday inspired cocktails.  If you don’t need one more thing to add to your to do list check out this post on 8 Great Wines.

If you don’t drink alcohol this non-alcoholic sangria is a nice option and you could add some cranberries to make it more festive.

I hope you take time to enjoy the holidays with family and friends perhaps with one of these holidays beverages instead of running frantically from store to store.  I hear the Holiday Mule calling my name and I can’t wait to break out my copper mugs.  Which one of these cocktails makes you smile?
