I like to scrapbook although I haven’t done much of it this past year. There are a lot of scrapbookers who enjoy documenting and scrapbooking everyday life. I used to think scrapbooking the little things that make up your every day was a waste of time. I have a hard time keeping up with all of my vacation, holiday, school and event photos. Since I’ve started this blog I’ve realized the importance of capturing photos of everyday activities and things I enjoy. I can write about them, but a picture sometimes speaks a thousand words. It’s the everyday photos that tell the story of who we are not the vacation photos in front of beautiful landscapes. Don’t get me wrong it’s great looking back at places you’ve visited, but the everyday photos tell us something about the way we live and how it evolves over the years. What kind of cars we drive, fashions we wear, homes we live in, things we do and objects of our affection like cell phones. These things change as time passes and sometimes we forget about them until someone brings them up in conversation. Especially if you have a limited memory like me.
Ali Edwards is a scrapbooker and life artist. She is an example of someone who does a great job of documenting everyday life in a creative way. If you have a minute check out Ali Edwards website. I am currently enrolled in her One Word class.
