Halloween Bathroom

My friend Anne’s downstairs bathroom is decorated for Halloween all year long which makes me smile.  When I first saw it I thought to myself what a novel idea.  She loves Halloween and knew she wanted to have a bathroom dedicated to the holiday even before her house was finished being built.  It just so happens the exterior of her home also has a Halloween feel.  It resembles homes from the Victorian era. It’s all brick and sits up high on a hill.  It reminds me of the Haunted Mansion at Disney World.  She actually has a few of the ghosts pictures hanging in her library because she happens to love Disney as well.

Anne’s bathroom makes me smile for several reasons.  I love it not only because I too fancy Halloween, but because she dared to be different.  Anne’s home truly reflects her personality.  It’s not a show home decorated to impress other people although it could be.  It also doesn’t look like a staged model home where you have no idea what the people who live in it are like.  It has it’s own personality.  It may not be everyone’s taste, but it doesn’t matter because it’s not their home.  Does your home reflect your personality?
