I’m planning to do some giveaways of my favorite things in December so I thought I would clarify how to navigate my blog in case there is any confusion. Some of my less computer savvy friends have been asking me questions on how to do certain things like leave a comment or subscribe by email. I can totally sympathize because I’m not a tech savvy person either, but I’m learning because of blogging. I will try to explain things as best I can and if I’m in error on something please let me know. Your feedback is important and a few things have been corrected that weren’t working properly in the beginning, but I think all the kinks have been worked out.
To subscribe to my blog
You can sign up through email or an RSS feed. If you don’t follow multiple blogs then email is the easiest option. When you subscribe you will automatically get a message sent to you in your inbox or news feed every time I post something new. If you look to the right of my blog you will see a box that says Get Free Updates. Your options are RSS feed, email and twitter.
Email- click on button, a feedburner page should come up that looks like this
type in your address along with words at the bottom. You will then be sent an email from feedburner to confirm your subscription. You have to click on the link and confirm otherwise you won’t get my updates.
RSS Feeds
If you want to learn more about RSS feeds click here. An RSS feed is helpful if you follow multiple blogs.
You have to have a twitter account to follow me I’m not that active on twitter right now, but I plan to be in the future.
How To Leave A Comment
If you are on my website page the comment button is underneath the title of my post. Click on comment and this box will come up.
Be sure to hit the submit comment button.
If you are looking at my blog from your email click on the title of the post and it will take you to my blog where you can comment. This time the comment section is at the bottom of the post. I have no idea why that is.
How To Share On Social Media
There are multiple ways to share content from my blog. I have a page on facebook you can like titled joyfulscribblings. If you click on the facebook button at the top it takes you to my page.
The P is for pinterest and will take you to my pinterest boards.
To like a post click the facebook button at the bottom of the post. Sometimes it may be at the top of a post as well. You can also send a post to a friend if you want through facebbook.
Sharing is caring gives you several ways to share: facebook, twitter, pinterest, linkedin, stumbleupon, send via email and print a post. All of these things are at the bottom of my post, but you need to view them from my website. Once again, this means if you are viewing a post from email and want to share or comment just click on the title and it will take you to my website. I hope if you enjoy reading something on my website that you’ll share it with others through one of these ways.
