I love the stacked bracelets look. I just purchased the Ariella bracelet which says faith. I thought it was appropriate since that is the word I chose to focus on this year. I wrote about it here. I spotted my friend Diane wearing the lucky bracelet this past weekend. Naturally, I had to run out and buy myself one at Nordstroms. They are sort of a throwback to the 70’s when it was popular to wear your name or a word on a necklace. I’m very nostalgic when it comes to the 70’s. You can also find necklaces in the Ariella collection of jewelry.
I’ll be attending the ballet A Mid Summer Nights Dream with some friends this weekend at the Kauffman Center for Performing Arts in Kansas City . This will be my first time to see the Kauffman Center since it’s opening in September 2011. I love attending a play or musical every now and then and I’m anxious to see this beautiful facility.
I love buying kitchen items such as plates, glasses, bowls, and utensils. I should be buying clothes right now because that’s what I really need, but I keep gravitating to jewelry and home items. You don’t have to try on home items and pretend it’s the mirror that’s making you look ten pounds heavier. I love Anthropologie’s home goods. In my usual fashion, I quickly skimmed the clothing and went straight to the home goods area. I found the above dessert plates by artist Bridget Davies in the sale section. They were a good deal so I bought a set of eight. They probably aren’t the most practical plates, but sometimes you have to throw practicality to the wind and just enjoy a good deal. I’m sure organizing expert, Peter Walsh would disagree with me on this matter.
Have a great weekend and I hope you find joy in the simple things!
