I was struggling with what to write about today, until something happened this weekend that made me smile. My family loves Chick-fil-A chicken biscuits. We have them almost every Saturday morning for breakfast. My daughter’s friends have even requested it for breakfast when they spend the night. They aren’t spoiled by any means. For Valentine’s Day Chick-fil-A even made heart biscuits. The sentiment wasn’t wasted. I appreciate those special little touches and was delighted when I opened the foil package. It made me smile.
This past weekend obviously wasn’t Valentine’s Day, but we did have Chick-fil-A for breakfast. My husband went through the drive through like he normally does because God forbid I get dressed before 10:30 on a Saturday morning. When he came home with our biscuits he said the person in front him paid for our order. He didn’t know the person. It was someone in a truck with a Texas license plate who performed a random of act of kindness. He was going to pay for the person behind him, but for some strange reason there was no one behind him. That’s unusual for a Saturday morning. These little random acts of kindness make me smile. Has a stranger ever done something nice for you? Please share your story in the comments.

I was in line at the concession stand for a movie Saturday night with a friend , and the man in front of me turned around and said he would love to buy our movie snacks…it made our night…the movie was also fantastic. Go see The Place Beyond the Pines!

I haven’t heard of the Place Beond the Pines. I will check it out. That’s pretty awesome that someone bought your movie snacks especially since they can cost a fortune. I have had someone buy my Starbucks order before, but never a movie theater. Thanks for sharing your story.

I love this! Church of the Resurrection had a great message this Sunday about “treating others they way we would want to be treated” and this means everyone including those annoying sales calls. We all need to notice each other and atleast smile:)

You’re right Keri. Sometimes it’s hard to treat others with kindness (like the annoying sales calls). A smile can go a long way.

I’ve had someone pay my Starbucks order twice so recently I decided to do that for someone. Ha little did I know there was one adult and 3 kids in the car….spent my weekly Starbucks allowance that day. I was glad I did it tho. I wanted to do the 26 random acts of kindness after the Newtown shootings but hate to say I fizzled out after about 3. Guess its not too late.
