I have had several bags of clothing and household items to donate piling up in my basement. It seems like every time the pink bag people (Veterans) were scheduled for pick up it would be raining or snowing outside. It feels great to give things away we are no longer using and that other people can use. I feel lighter already and that is a simple joy.
I’m going on a college visit with my son and a friend this weekend to K-State University for their Junior Day. I’m looking forward to some time together with just him and our friends. This will be our first little road trip together. I’m sure I’ll cry for weeks when he leaves for college in another year, but I’m also excited for him, even if he does decide to be a Wildcat.
One of the areas I did manage to clean out and organize this winter was my linen closet. I purchased several bins from Walmart and Target to contain things like toilet paper, kleenex, sunscreen, and extra soap. It brings me joy every time I open my linen closet and see things nice and tidy. I feel a sense of accomplishment even though I still have many more closets to clean out. I think Martha would be proud.

We loved K-State (this is coming from a Jayhawk). I was very impressed with Dean Pat Bosco. It’s decided and he’s going to be a Wildcat.
