For years I cut recipes out of Taste of Home magazine and looked forward to some of their special publications like the Halloween issue. I’m excited to announce I have joined the Taste Ad Network anchored and promoted by Taste of Home media and Reader’s Digest. The Taste of Home website features Blogs We Love and I’m excited to be a part of it’s community of food and lifestyle bloggers.
For those of you who know me well I don’t love to cook, but I love good food and fast and easy recipes. I’ll be sharing some of my favorite Taste of Home recipes and encourage those of you who do spend a lot of time in the kitchen to submit your recipes to Taste of Home’s website. There are all sorts of recipe submission categories such as:
- Mom’s Best
- Sunday Dinner
- 30 Minute Meal
- Feed a Crowd Potluck
- All American Classics
- Tasty Gifts
You can also simply submit to the general pool of recipes. Taste of Home also has several recipe contests taking place. Winners of these contests receive monetary prizes from $150 to $2,000 plus your recipe will be featured in Taste of Home magazine and possibly a cookbook. If cooking is a simple joy for you, I encourage you to share your talent in the kitchen. I’m always available for taste testing!
I have several potlucks to go this weekend and with Labor Day weekend around the corner I thought I’d share Taste of Home’s Top 10 Potluck Recipes. Click on the link for the recipes. Have a great weekend!

Congrats on your exciting news! I love Taste of Home! I stopped getting it once we went gluten free as it was a little sad to see all the good stuff I couldn’t make. Now that I am more comfortable baking with tapioca, potato and brown rice flours…I might have to subscribe again!

Thanks Karen! I will try to post some gluten free things from time to time. I know a lot of people who are in the same boat as you. I’ll also send you some links I come across for gluten free recipes.

Congratulations Dawn! I love Taste of Home and have several of their special edition magazines that are my G0-To cookbooks for potlucks at church and when I am having a big crowd over! I’m already thinking of some of my mom’s recipes that I am going to submit. She is a great cook and baker and had some originals, so this will be fun!
I’m really excited for you and your growing blog!

Congrats!! My mother in law has given me the magazine subscription for years. Unfortunately I don’t cook much, but I think she has hope that one day I will! 🙂 I’ll have to try out some of these that you suggest.
