I couldn’t let the summer go by without sharing a few of my favorite pins from my summer pinterest board. I realize for some of us school starts in two weeks, but the weather is typically warm in the Midwest until at least October. I love these fun popsicle cocktails which can also be made without alcohol for a summer get together. Jennifer is definitely the Hostess With the Mostess. Her blog is like eye candy and full of entertaining ideas.

These water balloon piñatas would be great for a kids outdoor party. Why didn’t I ever come up with this idea when my kids were younger? My kids loved piñatas.

My friend Christine gave me a mason jar with a solar light in it for my birthday. I thought it was the coolest thing. A few weeks later I came across ThriftDee’s DIY mason jar solar light that was posted on the home and garden site Hometalk. I haven’t tried to make one yet, but it would be less expensive to make your own. With the new Fall merchandise coming in I’m not sure how many solar lights are left, but this is definitely a project I’ll remember for next year. If you enjoy home projects and gardening you should definitely check out Hometalk. It’s sort of like pinterest, but you can ask readers for advice as well.
I don’t know if there’s such a thing as a professional pinner, but if there is I’d like to be one. I hope you like my summer picks.

These are great! I love the balloon pinatas, and will have to keep that in mind when I my grandchild is older.
Found you via LOBS.

Thanks for stopping by Kim. I was on your blog yesterday and love your positive messages of hope. I didn’t have a chance to comment though because I got interrupted by our chatty exterminator. Have a wonderful weekend!

I intended to share them earlier and then other things came up. This summer has flown by. Glad you enjoyed my picks.
