I fancy a roundup! I’ve been pinning all sorts of recipe roundups like 25 Sangria recipes, 50 Sweet & Savory Pies, and One Hundred Nutella Recipes. I’ve also done several of my own recipe roundups 10 Infused Water Recipes, 10 Blueberry Recipes, and 12 Recipes on a Stick. It’s sort of a trend right now among some bloggers. I’ve written several posts about items I love at Trader Joe’s market so I thought I’d combine them into one big roundup with the addition of a few new items I’ve come to love. I’ve listed the items starting from the top left and going left to right.
1. Lemon Curd– tastes great on top of pound cake or an english muffin, you can also put it on fruit or mix it in with Cool Whip
2. Unexpected Cheddar Cheese– a mix of a parmesean and cheddar cheese
3. Spinach and Kale Greek Yogurt Dip– a healthy dip to eat with veggies or crackers
4. Dark Chocolate Mint Creams– one or two hits the spot
5. Blue Cheese Roasted Pecan Dip– goes great with Buffalo Flavored Wheat Thins
6. Coconut Body Butter- a nice thick body cream
7. Dorot Chopped Basil– an alternative to fresh basil. It’s great to mix in sauces or simply use in place of fresh.
8. Cilantro Salad Dressing– if you like Cilantro you’ll love this dressing
9. Raisin Rosemary Crisps– the unexpected cheddar cheese pairs well with these crackers.
10. Inner Peas– my friend Cathy introduced me to these. I love me some inner peas.
11. Meyer Lemon Cookie Thins– a light cookie that goes great with coffee in the morning. Trader Joe’s also sell coconut and ginger thins which are equally delicious. You can eat quite a few for not a lot of calories.
12. Sea Salt Butterscotch Caramels– very addictive
13. Super 8 Veggie Mix– goes great in a mixed salad
14. Island Soyaki- I love to use this as a marinade on chicken and pork chops.
15. Roasted Gorgonzola Crackers– if you like blue cheese you’ll probably like these.

I love Trader Joe’s. I wish there was one closer. The nearest one is a half hour away. If it was closer, it would be my main grocery store!

Ours is closer, but not quite as convenient as other stores so I usually just pop in once a month for some of my favorite things.

We have a T.J. about 3 miles away. We love the Coconut Body Butter and it lasts quite a while. I’m going to look for the Blue Cheese Roasted Pecan Dip. Grace and I really like the frozen “Vegetable Bird’s Nests.” You should give them a try!
dawn says
Thanks Julie! I’ll have to look for the vegetable bird’s nests. I’ve never noticed them before.

Dawn,
mix equal parts lemon curd with butter to top pancakes or french toast, then sprinkle powder sugar on top. YUMMY!
I love Trader Joe’s!

I never thought of mixing the lemon curd with butter. Oh my!! I’m coming to your house for pancakes!

Mmm, the Super 8 Veggie Mix makes a super fast stir-fry with a thai-flavor when I use coconut oil, the dorot basil and dorot garlic, some ginger, and serve it over frozen pre-cooked brown rice ALSO sold at Trader Joe’s! And yum, I want some #5!!!!
dawn says
I will have to give that a try. Thanks Angela!

I’ve only been to Trader Joes once after reading your post it sounds like I need to plan another trip. Thanks for the ideas!

It helps to go in having an idea of what to buy that others have tried.

This is excellent! I live about 3 hours from the closest Trader Joe’s so whenever we visit, we stock up! It’s good to have some “pre-approved” new items to try! =) Our favorites are the cheddar cheese straws, TJ’s garlic salsa, dried fruit & nuts (they usually have pretty good prices), cheap but good wine, and peanut butter dog biscuits (for a very spoiled dashshund!)
dawn says
Thanks for sharing your favorites. I’ll have to try the salsa and cheddar cheese straws. I’ve bought the peanut butter dog biscuits for my very spoiled schnauzer as well 🙂

Thanks for the round-up mentions Dawn! I love a good round-up, along with this one! I SO wish we had a Trader Joe’s nearby! 🙁

You’re welcome. I think you’ve got some of the best round-ups and love A Night Owl Blog.

Yep. Inner Peas was a great introduction wasn’t it!! Wanted someone else to share my obsession! You know I ADORE Trader Joe’s…including a bunch of the goodies shown above. I need to do a little TJ “round-up” sometime on my blog as well. You can help me 😉 Oh, and BTW – Now I’m hungry and having a craving for “Inner peas”… Ugh!
dawn says
As much as you love Trader Joe’s, I think you are overdue for a post 🙂
