It’s been a busy week. My parents were visiting from out of town and I’m experiencing a let down similar to the one I get right after the Christmas holidays. I was busy preparing for their stay and out of my normal routine for the past ten days. Even though I get a little stressed, I’m always sad to see them go. I’m ready to start the weekend with one of my favorite drinks, a moscow mule. I first learned of the moscow mule from Oprah’s show. It’s one of Oprah’s favorite drinks. I have found two places in town that I know of that serve them. The Red Door Grill and Barley’s Brewhaus. I was excited to come across the copper mugs at Bed Bath and Beyond while shopping with my mother. They are a little pricey, but I think the mug is part of what makes the moscow mule unique. However, you don’t have to have the mug. I found this recipe for a moscow mule on Bon Appétit. Have a great weekend. I’ll be back on Monday with a story from someone who makes me smile!

That looks like an interesting drink. And it just so happens we have all the ingredients in our house! But it’s a little early yet!

Have a great weekend! If you try it, I would chill your glass first. I think there’s something to drinking them in a copper cup or chilled glass.
