I love how answers can come to us in the strangest of ways sometimes. I’ve had answers to prayers and questions show up through people, books, ideas, magazines and countless other ways. I most recently had the answer to a problem literally wake me up at 6:00 am.
It all started the day before. My friend Anne was telling me how her iPhone text messages hadn’t been going through since she installed the new Apple iOS 7 update on her iPhone. I explained that mine was working just fine. Evidently though iPhone users have been experiencing problems since installing iOS 7. My son actually updated my phone because if it were up to me it would probably never happen. I’m notorious for hitting the not now button when an update message pops up on my computer screen.
That same afternoon I started having problems with sending text messages. I called Anne to tell her she jinxed me. That’s the kind of friend I am. She told me to shut my phone completely off and turn it back on. Thankfully my texts started working again.
The next morning our alarm goes off at 6:00 AM which I’m typically not very happy about. The alarm is set to MIX 93.3 and I awake to our local DJ’s discussing the new iPhone iOS 7 and problems with text messaging. The DJ’s advice was to turn off messaging then turn off your phone. Then turn them both back on. It was clear as day. Still half asleep, I looked over at my husband and said what are the chances of that happening? I had only done half of the solution. Before I even got out of bed my wonderful husband took care of the rest.
If I ever have any doubts, little moments like this reassure me that there is a higher power listening. Have answers to problems ever come to you in strange ways?

I haven’t updated yet and I think I am glad I haven’t. Let them get the bugs out first!!

You are smart! That’s what I should have done. Had my son and husband not taken my phone and done it for me, I probably would still be on the old system. I blame it all on them 🙂

Same thing was happening to me and my husband was irritated that I wasn’t answering him. A day or so later, it happened to him. AND my alarm on my phone did not go off one morning so I didn’t wake my daughter for school, luckily she was not home when I woke up after 8 a.m., quite refreshed!

Gotta love updates!

This is SO funny! I had the same problem and was listening to 93.3 getting ready for work and it totally worked!
My previous boss ALWAYS woke up in the middle of the night with solutions or ideas. She would come in to work all excited, loved it.

Too funny! I wish things always worked out this way. Sometimes I’m so oblivious and the answer is staring me right in the face.

I was talking about just this very thing yesterday, but in a much more superficial way. I had gone to Starbucks and ordered a skim latte. I only order skim to keep the calories down, I actually much prefer it made with 2% or whole milk. And then they called “Stacey” and the barrista looks at the cup once more and goes, “Whoops. Sorry sweatheart, I made it with the wrong milk, let me remake it.” To which I said, “Nope! I’ll take it. Must have been meant to be.” And then I walked out of there with the coffee I really wanted feeling like someone intervened to make me feel better. It was the happiest accident.

That is too funny. Don’t you just love when that happens. Thanks for sharing your story. That made my day. The next time my Starbucks order is wrong I’m going to just go with it. I don’t mind the skim milk, but I definitely can’t do the sugar free stuff. It has a funny after taste.
