I was a Room Mom for many years and our Elementary School Halloween Party was always my favorite party of the year. I enjoyed watching the kids parade around the school and marveled at the creativity of some of their costumes. You can always tell who has a family member that sews. However, boxes and a little ingenuity can also go a long way.
The teachers and principal dressed up too and it was just as fun to see them decked out in their costumes. As a Room Mother, I was always on the look out for cute Halloween party ideas. I used to buy the Halloween issue of several magazines every year. Unfortunately, Pinterest didn’t exist at that time. These are a few of my favorite ideas I found on Pinterest. I’ve included a mix of healthy and sweet treats. If you are in need of further ideas you can check out my Halloween board on Pinterest. If you’re in charge of planning a school party or if you just want to make a festive treat for your kids, I hope this roundup inspires you.

Thanks for your cute ideas! Even though I’m finished with classroom parties I still love hosting cookie/treat exchanges with Brie’s friends.
