I was talking to my friend the other day about how I don’t understand the in’s and out’s of Facebook. How is it decided who sees your posts? Also, unless you’re on Facebook around the same time someone posts something you’ll probably never see their post. For those of you who are more schooled in Facebook please leave me a comment if you know the answer.
I share my posts on my Joyful Scribblings page along with information I come across on other blogs or pages. Since some readers aren’t on Facebook I thought I’d highlight a few things I’ve shared on my page recently. Those readers that are on Facebook, pop over and check out my page from time to time while you’re posting your latest status. I’ll be taking a short blog break over the Thanksgiving holidays, but I’ll be sharing some of my favorite finds on my Facebook page.

Facebook only shares your posts with a small percentage of your fan base. So unfortunately not everyone sees your post. It’s also dependent on how many likes, comments and shares you have. I have noticed the more I like, comment and share someone’s content, the more often they show up in my feed. It’s a challenge for sure.

Thanks for sharing your favorite facebook post I’ve missed several of these. I have no idea how facebook really works either.
My friend Michelle who blogs at A Dish of Daily Life left the comment that only a small percentage sees what you post. We have both noticed that the more you like or comment or someone’s Facebook posts, the more likely they are to show up in your feed. A lot of times I will go directly to friends or blog’s pages to see what their latest activity is.
