Thanksgiving is in two weeks and I’m thankful I don’t have to host dinner this year. What are you thankful for? My friend Stacey at Likes to Smile has been posting what she’s grateful for on twitter. If you’d like to play along just tweet something you’re grateful for and use the hashtag #gratitudetweets. Even though I’m not hosting Thanksgiving at my house this year I realize many of you are. If you’re a regular reader of my blog you know how I love to collect ideas on Pinterest. These are a few of my favorite ideas I came across. Please click on the link for the details of each project. For the whole collection you can pin my post or go to the project’s site to pin the details.
Also, in case you missed it Seana from The Seana Method wrote a post for me with a detailed Thanksgiving planning guide. It’s a great step by step guide to help you prepare for out-of-town guests and the Thanksgiving meal. I don’t know about you, but I’m a list maker. I like to have everything written down otherwise I easily forget things.

It’s little touches like the projects I’ve featured above that add a bit of joy to the holidays. There isn’t a lot of extra time around the holidays to embark on long and drawn out projects. I felt like most of these ideas were fairly simple and even if you just incorporated one into your Thanksgiving tradition it might put a smile on someone’s face. I’m going to make the turkey cheese ball since I’m not hosting this year. How about you? Do one of these projects strike your fancy?
I’ve been collecting a ton of ideas for fall. You can check out my pinterest board here for more inspiration.

I love those burlap utensil holders and I cannot believe I missed Seana’s post…she is a real life friend as well! She is probably the most organized person I know. Heading over to check that out now!

Fun ideas, Dawn! I might tackle the turkey cheese ball, but it may be a little too crafty for my skill set.

You can do it! I think it looks harder than it is. Although, I may eat my words when I attempt to make it.

Thanks Dawn for the ideas. I want to try the turkey cookies and pumpkin shaped bread.

So adorable, Dawn. I love all this kind of stuff. I’m hosting so I’m thinking about trying out one or two. Just makes me smile:)

Thanks Seana! I have family coming in town this year and we are doing a joint celebration for my parents 50th Anniversary. I’m thinking the gilded gourds would be pretty on the table.
