A Ladder Christmas Tree from Funky Junk Interiors
This past weekend many families started putting up their Christmas trees. We have an artificial tree which we put up, but it’s not decorated yet. We hang a variety of ornaments that our family has collected over the years along with ornaments my son and daughter have made. Every year though I like to add a few new surprises. Last year I added clusters of dried fountain grass which I had readily available outside my door and burlap ribbon. Click here to see it.
Christmas trees can be a hassle to put up at times. I know of a few people without children who’ve decided to forgo putting up a Christmas tree. These are a few of my favorite non-traditional trees that make me smile. The ladder Christmas tree above reminds me of a party I went to in college. Some architecture students had a Christmas party and decided to decorate a ladder to represent a Christmas tree. I thought it was very clever, but the strangest thing I’d ever seen. Who knew all these years later, I’d find images of ladder trees on the internet.

I love this Christmas tree made from stacked books. I’m pretty sure I have enough books to create this!

This tree collage would be fun to put on a wall or bulletin board. You can use green washi tape to adhere the images and avoid putting any nail holes in your wall.

I LOVE the one made from books! I think I will totally do that in our bedroom! 🙂 And the one from the cards is genius…I am now rethinking my card display of rows, because this would be SO MUCH BETTER! :)-Ashley
