These chocolate Valentines from Target made me smile. My favorites are The Perfect Man, he’s sweet and decadently rich just how a man ought to be and the Frog Prince. For those men that are sports fans, I thought the football and golf clubs were cute. I’ll take the Perfect Man over the sports fanatic any day.
My friend Keri shared this photo with me that her and her daughter Brianna took. Brianna added the little bubble in PicMonkey and came up with the caption. Dear God, Thank you for the bird seed that I’m about to eat! Amen. This picture makes me smile for many different reasons and is a great reminder to be thankful. I’m thankful they shared it with me!

I love Starbucks pastries and desserts about as much as I do their lattes. My husband surprised me with this salted caramel square from Starbucks last week. I have yet to come across anything with caramel, salt and chocolate that I don’t like. Starbucks describes it as a dense chocolate square full of crunchy pretzels, pecans and swirled with caramel. Need I say more!

My friend Anne introduced me to these chocolate covered almonds from André’s. André’s is a Swiss Confiserie producing only the highest quality confections and originated in the Kansas City area. The milk chocolate covered almonds with a dusting of powdered sugar are heavenly. It’s impossible to eat just one, but they are meant to be savored. They ship within the United States and you can purchase them here. They are guaranteed to bring a smile to your face.
I seem to have a theme going with chocolate this week. Dark chocolate actually has many health benefits which you can read about here.

I have purposefully been avoiding the salted chocolate caramel square because I know I will get addicted. And now, of course, I must try it. Today.-Ashley

I’m warning you, don’t do it you’ll get hooked 🙂 I ate way too many cranberry bliss bars from Starbucks over the holidays. I even found a copycat recipe for them and made them. There are copycat recipes for the salted chocolate caramel square as well, but they didn’t get very good reviews.

oh yum. I do love those chocolate almonds with the powdered sugar. They sort of melt in your mouth. One right after the Other! woohoo!
And that Starbucks thingy….oh, I have to try every version I see of that…and there are several. It is just the perfect combination of salty and sweet, crunchy and gooey. That pie place at Pryde’s has a version, and Whole Foods…But Starbucks is way easier to get to. TOO EASY!

Oooh! I don’t know about the Whole Foods version. I think we should make it our mission to taste test all of the salted caramel bars out there and then rank them. Then do our training class 🙂
