I’ve been searching for photos and artwork for my bathroom gallery wall. I have an overabundance of photos I’ve taken over the years however, I don’t own a lot of artwork unless it was drawn by my children. I recently discovered several options for inexpensive artwork from other bloggers that I follow.
The Handmade Home has curated a collection of 8 x 10 prints from various artists into books. I purchased Art for the Eclectic Home which has lots of fun artwork I plan on using in my daughter’s bedroom. I had her look through the book and mark the images she likes. There are also books for the contemporary and traditional home. It’s an affordable way to add art to your walls and interchangeable artwork for a different look. All three books are available here. I love to change my decor every season and bring in items which reflect the time of year. I love how Laura at Finding Home shares how she incorporated the artwork from The Handmade Home on her bookshelves to give it a different look.

I love inspirational quotes. I can’t seem to get enough of them. There are so many talented graphic designers and artists who make simple quotes look beautiful. I recently saw the print above on The Inspired Room and knew I had to have it. I have a thing for wishbones right now. You may recall my post on the wishbone necklace. As luck would have it, Melissa shared where her artwork came from. The website is Lindsay Letters and Lindsay sells all sorts of inspirational prints, canvases and gift items. She even has a section where you can download prints. I love my wishbone print and as soon as I get my gallery wall finished I’ll show you it framed and on the wall. It’s been one of those projects that I can’t ever seem to finish.
I hope you’ve enjoyed some of my favorite inexpensive artwork finds. Artwork doesn’t need to be expensive to beautiful. Some of my favorite art is by my kids and I even have art framed that came from an Anthropologie catalog. Where do you look for artwork?

These are GREAT ideas! I LOVE the thought of printing out a quotation I love! There really are so many great ways to hang interesting artwork for not a lot of money. I once complimented a friend on an interesting print on her wall…it turns out it was something she framed FROM A WALL PAPER BOOK. It was so cool! –Lisa

Thanks Lisa. I have seen people frame scrapbook paper as well. Years ago, Pottery Barn showed gallery walls that were all empty picture frames. I would have never thought to do it, but it looked cool.

Awesome ideas! Pathetically, I have so many pictures and art that are not hung. What is wrong with me?! I have grand ambitions but have not gotten things done! I just need to figure it out and do it!

Don’t feel so bad Michelle, I’m the same way. I just finished one of the gallery walls I’ve been wanting to do for years. Throwing a graduation party for my son has forced me to finally get some of my projects done.
