I’ve gained a new passion and it’s called Instagram. I’m a little late in jumping on the Instagram bandwagon because truthfully I didn’t need another passion in life. (My husband will second that statement.) I’ve always loved photography and looking at photos. If you’re on Instagram, I’d love for you to follow me. My account is listed under Joyful Scribblings. There are lots of filters that you can use on your photos to create a certain mood. I recently purchased the app from A Beautiful Mess for my iPhone. I have yet to play around with it because I’m supposed to be planning a graduation party, but there are all sort of fun things you can do with it.
I don’t have too many photos posted yet, but here is a sample of my Instagram world with the exception of one picture that is my friend Cathy’s.
1. I found this quote in a magazine and loved it.”See life through a different lens. It’s not just about light or dark. It’s about everything in between.” That’s my friend Cathy behind the paper glasses.
2. This photo of a food truck is part of a line up of airstream trailers parked across from the beach in Seaside, Florida. The food is delicious and they are so cute!
3. I found this love sign on a tree near several fairy houses I found by surprise. You can read about my them in my past post Fairy Houses Spread Joy.
4. My daughter drew this smiley face on my hand with some leftover icing she had.
5. Cathy with all of her SWAG from our recent trip to Salt Lake City, Utah for the SNAP2014 conference. We were laughing about how we were going to fit everything in our suitcase and stay under the 50 pound limit.
6 .The Oprah Chai Tea Latte at Starbucks is delicious. It’s a little more cinnamon tasting than the original.
7. I thought this was a cool billboard that sits on top of a skyscraper in NYC.
8 & 9. Part of the Kansas City Library building in Downtown Kansas City, Missouri located at 10th & Baltimore. In my opinion, it’s one of the coolest buildings in Kansas City.
Hello!! I am SO happy to have met you at SNAP! too!! Seriously! You are SUCH a sweet person and you totally made my day in our initial introduction! THANK YOU! LOVE your little part of the world here in blog land – completely in LOVE with the airstream trailer photo! My dream is to have one to sell sweets out of – a modernized version of the ice cream truck – minus the creepy ice cream truck driver. Ha!! Hugs!!!

I’m thinking about doing my own little challenge this summer where I post on Instagram once a day. I always forget. And when I am on there, I am completely addicted…I could be on there for hours looking at pictures. I love your photos here!

I just got on Instagram my self, mostly to follow my daughter….shhhh. I haven’t learned how to really use it yet hopefully I can when things slow down. Enjoyed your pics!
