I’m not sure why this drink is called a Champagne Cosmo because it doesn’t actually contain champagne, but it’s mighty tasty. This Champagne Cosmo recipe came from Sandra Lee’s Cocktail Time which is full of 218 cocktails and appetizers that are organized by month. In my opinion, some cocktails taste better during certain seasons.
I made a pitcher of Champagne Cosmos for a ladies lunch and they were a big hit. I love that you can make them in advance and the recipe makes enough for roughly 6 glasses. The recipe calls for citrus vodka, but I just used regular vodka. You could also omit it if you’d like.
I made some strawberry filled ice cubes to give the drink an extra pop of color. They are easy to make and you can vary the fruit. Cut up a few strawberries, put them in an ice tray, fill with water and freeze.
This makes a nice girly drink, perfect for bridal showers, birthday parties or just hanging out with friends on a hot summer night.
