I was all set to write a splurge vs. steal post on this nautical tray I found at Target. Pottery Barn sold a similar tray last summer and I’m positive I saw it in my local store, but I couldn’t find it online. I coveted the tray, but I really didn’t need another tray. I also didn’t want to pay the asking price. The Threshold line at Target came out with a similar version complete with rope handles and I finally dove in and bought it. I’m glad I took the plunge and was inspired by one of the table centerpieces I shared here to fill it with some of my seashells.

I’m still in the process of decorating for summer and was inspired by several blogger’s summer home tours last week. I loved Kristin from the Hunted Interior’s Home and her cozy deck space she created. She really has a knack for mixing styles, colors and patterns.

I also immediately loved The Nester’s Home tour. I love her authenticity and how she embraces imperfection.

There were so many beautiful and unique homes on Gina’s Tour of Summer Homes. I loved Gina at The Shabby Creek Cottage’s bedroom. It’s time for me to get my home organized and decorated for the summer months ahead. I hope some of these rooms inspire you to make a few updates this summer.

Is that your porch? It looks so calm and inviting! So beautiful! Can you come and help me fix up my house? I am going to be stalking your blog for ideas! 🙂

Thanks Michelle 🙂 I wish that was my deck. It’s from Hunted Interior. I did get new outdoor furniture this year, but it won’t stop raining here enough for me to enjoy it.
