There are many things I love about the Fall season and one of those things is the annual Kansas City Holiday Mart. It’s a fun-filled four-day shopping event sponsored by the Junior League of Kansas City, Missouri. The KC Holiday Mart features nearly 200 specialty retailers offering unique and oftentimes exclusive products and specialty gift items.
Holiday Mart is great shopping for a great cause. It is organized and coordinated entirely through volunteer support which enables the Junior League of Kansas City, Missouri to give back almost 100 percent of profits. This will be the 27th year that Holiday Mart’s proceeds will go to support and impact many community projects in the Kansas City area.
I’ve attended the event for many years and never come home empty-handed. I always have to visit the Cherry Hill Republic booth for a sample of chocolate covered dried cherries and many other delicious foods like cherry jam and salsa. Last year I purchased a fun wood pallet sign that hangs in my kitchen. Each year the Junior League goes through a careful process of selecting new and returning retailers. This year over a third of the retailers are new to Holiday Mart so even seasoned shoppers like myself are guaranteed some surprises. The Junior League will be giving sneak previews of some of their favorite new “must-have” items in the weeks leading up to Holiday Mart so be sure to follow them on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
Holiday Mart takes place at Bartle Hall in Kansas City, Missouri and runs from Thursday, October 16 – Sunday, October, 19. I’m giving away two pairs of single day tickets, one for you and a friend. The Junior League has graciously donated the tickets, but all of the opinions expressed are my own.

I have never been to holiday mart. In the past I worked every Friday, and always a kids event on Saturday. Of course it is on the week that I work Thurs and Fri, and Maddie has softball on the weekend….but if I win tickets I would have to go!

I’m excited for Holiday Mart – it’s over my birthday weekend and my aunt will be in town so we have plans to shop while the guys go fishing. Hmmmm – shop or fishing? Tough choice – NOT! Then lunch at Chez Elle!! My kind of day 🙂
I love all the food mixes and last year I bought a bunch of pashmina scarfs as Christmas gifts for all the ladies in my family. My favorite booths – Nell Hills and Rose Hill Gardens.

This would be my first year going. My sisters and I lost our mother 29 years ago, i was just 18. But my incredible Dad picked up where she left off. And a wonderful job he did. He passed away in March 2014 just shy of his 96th b-day. It has been very rough and I know there will be such a void in my heart during the holiday season and would love to spend the day with my sisters. 🙂
