Gift Ideas for the Entertainer

 

Today is Cyber Monday when shoppers will be looking for special online deals.  Many sales have already begun and since I was busy with family commitments during Thanksgiving weekend I got a jump-start on my holiday shopping online.  One of my favorite things to buy is entertaining and kitchen items: glassware, plates, trays and cute spreaders, I love it all!  Truthfully I don’t entertain a ton, but these little everyday items bring me joy.   I’ve put together a list of items that I’m loving right now and that anyone who loves entertaining or dining items would love.

The animal plates, decanter, glasses and owl and fox salt and pepper shaker are from  West Elm.  I’ve mentioned before that I’m really into gold right now.  The decanter and cocktail glasses have a Mad Men look and would look beautiful on a bar cart. I think Don Draper would approve.  I purchased three of the  gilded dapper animal plates, but I’m not using them to eat on.  I’m adding them to my office gallery wall.

The Bon Appetit board is from Mud Pie Gifts and can be used as a beautiful tray to serve appetizers on.

 

I’m a huge fan of the drink Moscow Mules. You can find the recipe here, but part of the experience is drinking them out of these copper mugs. I received this set of mugs last Christmas from my husband.  They are a little pricey, but are a little easier to find this year.  I found this set on Overstock on sale.

Years ago we purchased the Vinturi Red Wine Aerator and I believe it makes a difference. It gives the same effect as decanting wine for 1 1/2 hours so the wine has a smoother finish. I’m not a wine connoisseur, but I do enjoy a glass of red wine every now and then.  This one is from Target and is a great price.

The wood pedestal is from World Market and can be used not only for setting plates on when entertaining, but also with other home decor to add height to objects.

I’m a huge fan of spreaders and these sweater dog spreaders from West Elm are adorable.

If you’ve been reading my blog you know that I’m also a big fan of owls.  Target has some cute cookie jars like this owl at a great price.  I received a similar one from a friend a few years ago that I keep my dogs treats in.
