I could use a team of elves about now, how about you? Every year I have high aspirations of baking, decorating and crafting in addition to shopping, wrapping presents and sending Christmas cards. I’m a planner, but no matter how hard I try my mind just doesn’t want to think about Christmas in July or even in October for that matter. I’m also an obsessive idea collector so it doesn’t help that I scour Pinterest every day looking for ideas. I’ve gathered 10 holiday drink and 10 dessert recipes which I think look delicious.
I decided to focus on drinks and desserts, because this is the time of year I tend to overindulge in both. I make cinnamon scones every year which are a family favorite. You can find the recipe HERE. I also make my husband’s favorite thumbprint cookies and I usually like to try at least one new cookie recipe every year. There are so many to choose from that it’s hard to decide on just one. I’m going to a cookie exchange this year and I’m thinking of making number six. I made number 10 last year and they were delicious. Click on each link for the recipe.
1.Almond Raspberry Shortbread Cookies These are very similar to the Thumbprint cookies I make every year.
3.Peppermint Oreo Sugar Cookies
4.Italian Christmas Ricotta Cookies
5.Chocolate Dipped Ginger Shortbread
6.Salted Peanut Butter Oreo Cookie Balls
9.Triple Ginger Chocolate Chunk Cookies
10.Skinny Cranberry Bliss Bars
A few of my past favorite cookies are Brownie Goody Bars, Chocolate Peanut Butter Goody Bars and White Chocolate Cherry Shortbread
Please click on the link for each recipe. I’ve included some non-alcholic drinks as well. I’ve made this non-alcoholic sangria several times and it has been a big hit.
10. Holiday Frozen Fruit Sparkler
I’ve shared more holiday beverages ideas here. I hope you find something here that inspires you! Eat, drink and be merry! For more Christmas ideas you can check out my Christmas Pinterest Board HERE.

Thanks Dawn! I’ll be baking next week and I think I will try #3 and #6. The kids requested Hershey kiss holiday cookies too.

Hershey Kiss cookies are always a favorite of ours too. Peanut butter cookie with the Hershey Kiss in the middle. Now they have candy cane Hershey Kisses you can put in the middle of a sugar or chocolate cookie.

Sounds like a plan Kristin. I may need #7 to drink with my cookies 🙂
