Simple & Delicious Recipes

I have some exciting news to share. I’m featured in Taste of Home’s August/September issue of Simple & Delicious Recipes magazine. You can find it on newsstands starting today and  until September 8.  My Chocolate and Peanut Butter Goody (Crispy) Bars are part of the back-to-school treat ideas.  You can find the recipe on my past blog post here or page 73 of  Taste of Home’s Simple & Delicious.

I like to share simple and easy recipes because as I’ve mentioned in the past, I really don’t love to cook.  If I could afford a personal chef I would gladly pay someone to cook and plan meals for me and my family.  I love to collect recipes and I really would love to enjoy cooking, but most days I’m just not feeling the love.  However, I do love to eat and the August/September issue of Simple & Delicious has some easy recipes I’d like to try like this slow cooker lasagna. I’ve never made lasagna in a slower cooker before have you?

I’d also love to try these cuban sliders from Serene at House of Yumm and the Italian Sausage & Zucchini Soup would make a nice fall and winter meal.  I’m not a big fan of soup in the summer months especially when it’s 100 degrees outside.

I don’t believe cooking has to be complicated to taste good.  My goal is to focus less on recipes in the future, but I will continue to share some of my favorites with a focus on simple and easy.  The reality is I still need to cook for my family.  There are a ton of great food bloggers on the internet and I will share those I enjoy as well.  Taste of Home is also always a great resource for tried and true recipes from home cooks.
