I’m amazed at the numerous ways people find to decorate pumpkins. These seven no-carve pumpkin ideas will get your creative juices flowing and help you think out of the box. I have nothing against the color orange, but I’m a huge fan of white pumpkins. This made me curious about the difference between white and orange pumpkins. They are grown differently, but white pumpkins can be substituted for orange pumpkins in many recipes. The taste and texture can be better for baking and the skin is easier to carve than orange pumpkins. I like white pumpkins mainly because they are different and I like to use them in my fall decor. They also provide a clean canvas for unique creations like these 7 no carve pumpkins.
When my kids were younger I hosted a pumpkin decorating party every year and then it became a pumpkin carving party. My daughter still likes to carve pumpkins, but over the years I realized I like the idea of carving pumpkins more than I actually do carving them. I can be dangerous with a knife and I don’t have the patience for detail work unlike a few of my friends who have created works of art. You can see an example here.
DIY Marbled Pumpkins– Who knew you could use nail polish on pumpkins to create these cool marbled pumpkins.
These Melted Crayon Pumpkins are also pretty fun and a great way to use up bits of crayons.
We are big donut fans at our house and I love these little Donut Pumpkins,
I’m also a huge fan of owls and love these Sharpie Owl Pumpkins. Unfortunately, I don’t think I would have the patience to make them, but I know of a few people who do.
Geometric Gold Pumpkins– If you read my blog regularly than you know I have a thing for gold right now.
Gold Doily Pumpkins– Another bit of gold which caught my eye, but you could use any color doily.
Animal Pumpkins– These animal pumpkins are adorable and more along the lines of a perfect Martha Stewart creation than the ones we used to decorate with pipe cleaners and buttons.
I hope some of these ideas give you inspiration this Halloween. The month of October is flying by and I couldn’t resist sharing a pumpkin post. For more pumpkin inspiration check out this post.

Neat ideas! I usually carve a couple of pumpkins with Brie but I’m not really in the mood this year. My favorite is the owl pumpkins maybe I can make one while watching the Royals.

I’ve not been in the mood either this year and so far Lauren hasn’t asked (fingers crossed). I love the owls too!
