The verdict is in. You all love recipes or perhaps more accurately, people who use Pinterest love recipes. The majority of my visitors find my blog through Pinterest. I try not to focus too much on numbers, but it’s hard not to as a blogger. I share what I like and find interesting and my hope is that you all like it too, but I know you can’t please everyone. I love collecting recipes, but I really don’t love to cook. I like the idea of it. However, I do love to eat and I have to feed my family so I stick to easy meals which taste good. One of my goals for 2016 is to eat more healthy and less processed foods.
I wasn’t too surprised that recipes were my most popular posts due to Pinterest, but something that did catch me off guard was that none of them were written in 2015. I wrote 95 new blog posts in 2015 and not one was in the top 10. Social media is a tricky thing. The more likes you get the more your information will be seen. It makes sense, but there are a lot of newer blog posts that go unnoticed on blogs because they aren’t getting the same exposure. Many things are also determined by your audience size and whether if those readers are active on social media. Every time you share one of my posts I greatly appreciate it.
There are a lot of things out of my control, but what I can control is what I choose to focus on and my attitude. I will still share recipes from time to time, but my biggest message for 2016 will be how to live curiously and get out of your box. I’ll be sharing a new challenge each month to encourage you to try something new. I also love a good craft project, decorating idea and inspirational quote so you will find those things as well here.
Without further adieu here are the Top 10 Posts of 2015.

It is very interesting to see which posts are read the most. I am not surprised that a lot of them are food. I tend to pin mostly food recipes from Pinterest myself.
On a side note, I made the sweet and sour Chinese dip again this Christmas Eve and as always it was a big hit! 😊

I concur on the Chinese dip. BIG HIT INDEED!!!

I agree Tom! It’s definitely a crowd favorite, but I would have never guessed it had I not tried it.

You are always good about making recipes you find rather than just collecting them. Lauren asked me the other day when I was going to make all of the things I’ve saved from Pinterest 🙂 Thanks for sharing!

At least you make a lot of the recipes you collect Keri! You are also great about sharing your creations 🙂

That is pretty crazy that your top 10 weren’t from this year. Social media is a weird thing! I’ll be looking forward to your challenges, Dawn. Always fun to try something new!
