To Discuss: This quote from the Happy Dammit Daily
This quote arrived in my inbox a few weeks ago and I immediately shared it with a few friends. It’s a great reminder to girls of all ages!
To Watch: Mr. Selfridge
I’ve been binge watching Mr. Selfridge on Amazon Prime Video. My family traveled to England two years ago and there were two couples on our tour who nicknamed us the Selfridges. I wasn’t familiar with the show and didn’t know if I should take it as a compliment. I see a few physical similarities, but we are by no means the Selfridges. Harry Gordon Selfridge was an American businessman who brought the idea of merchandising and shopping for pleasure to London, England back in 1909. If you were a fan of Downton Abbey, I think you’ll love this show as well. While the kids are in school enjoy a little “me” time watching Mr. Selfridge.
To Reflect: Let Your Individuality Shine & Own It
A few years ago, I shared a story about my neighbor Mia who wore her kitty cat ears for her school picture. It’s inspiration for mother’s like me who like to have more creative control. If you clicked on my 9 Inspiring Thoughts post this is one of them.
